We exist to make rafting safe and fun so our guests can be inspired by their experience in this spectacular region.

Royal Gorge Rafting began running river trips in 2004 and since that time we have become the most popular choice for rafting the Royal Gorge. With that, we always keep our focus on quality over quantity and making sure our guests remain our #1 priority in everything we do.

From our overall safety to our goal of exceeding our customers’ expectations, we know that in order to get this right we need to have the best staff we can employ on and off the river.

How We Got Started

After guiding for over a decade on the Arkansas River, one of the nation’s most competitive and thrilling rivers, James Whiteside & Ty Seufer saw where they could make a superior rafting experience. This insight inspired us to put more focus on guide professionalism and exceeding the industries safety measures by using the international standards.

From day one, to today our mission is still that. This has made us Colorado’s #1 whitewater rafting destination. Our kayak and photo support program and exceptional guide staff set us apart. Focusing on personalized attention to our guests experience, our guides professionalism, and overall river safety.

Responsible To the environment

Our river tours have a minimal environmental impact which is an excellent start to any business model. We are conscientious about our daily environmental impact too and so far, we've:

Added the addition of solar to our power needs at our base location and some of our vacation rentals.
Converted most of our lighting systems to LED systems.
Reduced our water use by utilizing waterless urinals.
Installed water fill stations to reduce plastic waste.

Investing in our community & Beyond.

Royal Gorge Rafting has been donating to local efforts to create more outdoor opportunities for our community. We've invested in trail building and other outdoor activities. We believe the more people value the outdoors and all things wild, the more they will respect the environment around them. We have been developing an exceptional net zero outdoor community that ties in directly with all our areas outdoor adventures, view and invest in the Royal Gorge Ranch & Resort.

We are also recognizing those in greater need. For every Unity Yurt rental package we book we are giving $5.00 to a Non Profit Organization via Donare.info
